I've been wanting to let you know what our days look like. Joel has clinic on M, W, and F. T and Th are his surgery days. He starts rounds about 7:30 a.m. or so. Colt and I start school at the school house between 8:30 and 9 a.m. We leave Abigail at the house with our worker, Baby. The Hewitt children also do school at the school house with their teacher, Angela. Colt and I work on Scripture memory, Bible, Reading, Lang. Arts, Math, etc. Then at 11:30 Angela teaches both Colt and Benton Hewitt science. Then at 12 I teach both boys an elementary version of American History. History can be really fun for boys with all of those battles to study! We finish around 12:30 and head to the house for lunch.
Throughout the day, sellers come to either our door at home or our school house door wanting to sell their produce. It is convenient when they bring good quality items and we don't have to go into town to purchase these foods. However, their timing is not always good. Some will come as early as 6 a.m. We have many various people come to our door in the course of a week. Just recently I finished making a curtain cover for the glass doors in the front. This offers us a little more privacy and peace of mind. Interestingly enough, we don't seem to have as many people coming to our porch now that you can't see into our house!
Sometimes Joel and Colt do PE together during Joel's morning hospital break. Then, Joel joins us later at home for lunch. (No food or drinking water available at the hospital.) In the afternoons, Colt will do various school activities for a short time, depending on the day. Typing, music, art, and PE. We get to play with Abigail until her nap time at 3 pm. She will sleep until 5:30 or 6 pm. Then she's still ready for bed around 8:30 pm. (She gave up her morning nap some months ago. This seems to be the combination that works for her now.)
Then we eat dinner around 6:30 pm most nights. Not much variance on evening activities, for the most part. I enjoy having folks over for dinner here and there. We thank you for your continued prayers as we seek the Lord and what ministries He has here for us.

Good to hear your routine. Sounds like life there is becoming normal to you. I would love to hear your thoughts on the differences of everyday life in the states and everyday life in Ghana. What is the most difficult aspect of life there as far as routine goes?
I love reading about your life and what's happening with you guys. Thanks for sharing. Love ya
