Ok, you expert bloggers. Tell me something. When someone follows your blog, does that mean they get an email sent to them when you update? And for those who are not on blogspot, is there a way to have emails automatically sent to them when we update? I know I'll get all kinds of great info from you all out there!

I'm definitely not an expert blogger, but I am a follower. It shows up on my blogger dashboard when people have new posts, but no e-mail...although there may be a way to do that...who knows.
If someone is a follower of your blog, it will show up when they look at their dashboard.
I think there is some way to put a link on your blog where people can come subscribe and will be send emails of each post. I'm not sure how to do that though. Sorry I'm not much help.
We have your picture up on our fridge and Ryann talks about you guys every day. She asked me today if you were in Africa yet. And yesterday when she got up from her nap, she said she prayed for you before she fell asleep.
I know that feedburner.com allows you to sign up for a button to put on your blog that has people put in their email address to subscribe. Then they would get an email when you update.
Holly - on your blogger settings you can put 10 email addresses and every time you post they are emailed a copy of the post - photos et al. I used to do this for my mother in law.
Readers and following let them know when you post but they have to go online and check.
